Removal

CAUTION: Inspect the water pump when replacing the timing belt.

NOTE:

1. Disconnect the battery negative terminal first, then the positive terminal.

2. Remove the splash shield.

3. Remove the power steering pump.

4. Remove the A/C compressor adjust pulley with bracket and the belt (with A/C), then remove the alternator belt.

5. Remove the P/S pump bracket.

6. Loosen the alternator adjusting bolt and pivot nut, then remove the belt.

7. Remove the cruise control actuator and the P/S pump tank bracket.

8. Remove the side engine mount.
